The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with additional day(s) determined by the manager., Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records review. ## Description The Database Administrator provides administrative and technical leadership for enterprise database environments (on-premises and cloud-based), ensuring reliable data services that support business operations, reporting, and analytics. This role partners with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate business needs into effective data solutions and contributes to the evolution of database standards and best practices. Responsibilities * Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments to ensure data quality, security, integrity, availability, and performance across multiple platforms and environments (production, development, test, build, and staging). * Design, implement, and manage logical and physical database architectures, including complex data models, entity relationship diagrams, aggregation tables, and standards that support business operations, reporting, and analytics. * Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, both on-prem and in Avista's AWS tenant.
