## About the Role

* At least 10 years' related professional experience
 * Must have JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent

Desired skills/experience:

 * Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
 * 1 or more cyber and cloud certifications and DoD 8140 Advanced level cyber qualification highly desired

Education/Certification Minimum Requirements:

 * Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 18+years' related professional experience; or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 10+ years' related professional experience

Clearance:

 * Must possess a Top Secret with SCI eligibility. SAR/SAP experience highly desirable

## Description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a Network Engineer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) and Combat Forces Command (CFC) Defensive Cyber Operations.

A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

 * Uses knowledge of network systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
 * Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions.
 * Work on a team in an Agile environment, creating and executing Stories, Bugs, and Spikes to meet system patch and release timelines
 * Design and implement on-prem and cloud platform solutions to support defensive cyber tool suites comprised of custom and commercial applications
