## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
 * 5+ years of IT support, infrastructure, data center, or systems operations experience
 * Experience installing and supporting servers, network equipment, and enterprise hardware
 * Experience working with ticketing systems and maintaining accurate documentation
 * Experience with enterprise monitoring tools, mainframe environments, or server administration
 * Data center operations experience
 * Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
 * Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office products
 * Familiarity with asset management and inventory control processes
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to work onsite in a 24/7 operational environment with flexible scheduling, including weekends

## Description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician in New York, NY., We're seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations Technician to support critical infrastructure, hardware deployments, and end-user technology in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with hardware, supporting enterprise systems, and contributing to the daily operations of a mission-critical data center.

What You'll Do:

 * Install, rack, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and related hardware
 * Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and system issues to ensure operational uptime
 * Monitor systems and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
 * Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
 * Perform hardware upgrades, imaging, deployments, and equipment moves
 * Track inventory, asset assignments, and documentation within ticketing systems
 * Support data center operations, maintenance activities, and operational procedures
 * Collaborate with technical teams to resolve infrastructure and end-user support issues
