## About the Role

Ideally, you'll have experience in Technical Support, Systems Support, Infrastructure Support or 2nd Line Support, with exposure to:

 * Linux or Unix
 * Shell / command-line troubleshooting
 * Networking / TCP-IP / network ports
 * Hardware and software installation/configuration
 * Technical fault-finding
 * Customer-facing support
 * Technical documentation

## Description

This is a varied technical role supporting a mix of hardware, software, networking and Linux/Unix-based systems, including specialist camera technology and associated back-office systems., You'll be responsible for:

 * Installing and configuring hardware and software
 * Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical faults
 * Supporting Linux/Unix-based devices and systems
 * Using Linux / shell commands to query and diagnose equipment
 * Troubleshooting networking issues, including TCP/IP and network ports
 * Supporting specialist/proprietary software and systems
 * Investigating issues between remote devices and back-office systems
 * Speaking directly with customers to resolve technical problems
 * Producing clear technical documentation
 * Escalating more complex issues where required
