## About the Role

* 5+ years' experience in data engineering and architecture, including ETL, data pipelines and data storage.
 * Experience leading data engineering projects or workstreams.
 * Strong experience with cloud platforms and cloud data services.
 * Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric.
 * Strong data modelling experience across dimensional, relational and/or data vault approaches.
 * Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
 * Strong understanding of data governance and data quality.
 * Experience integrating AI/ML into data solutions and understanding of AI governance.
 * Ability to design scalable, secure and cost-effective data architectures.
 * Relevant cloud data engineering certifications would be advantageous.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.

## Description

* Design and implement end-to-end data solutions from ingestion and processing through to analytics and visualisation.
 * Design scalable data pipelines and ETL processes across modern and legacy platforms.
 * Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models, including dimensional, relational and data vault.
 * Own end-to-end data architecture aligned to business and technology strategy.
 * Establish architecture best practices across security, performance, scalability and cost optimisation.
 * Provide technical leadership, architecture governance and design documentation.
 * Develop data quality frameworks, governance policies, schemas and metadata repositories.
 * Integrate AI and machine learning into data solutions, including automation, anomaly detection and predictive data quality.
 * Support data visualisation and translate complex data into actionable insights.
