This contract role will play a key part in transforming complex business data into meaningful insights through modern BI solutions and scalable data models., Working within a collaborative data team, you'll partner with Data Engineers, Product Owners and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade reporting solutions while helping shape the underlying data structures that support them. You'll have exposure to modern cloud-based data platforms, including Databricks and Microsoft technologies, and will contribute across the entire analytics lifecycle from requirements gathering through to dashboard delivery. What You'll Be DoingBusiness Intelligence & Reporting * Develop engaging Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for a variety of business functions. * Create and manage semantic layers, datasets and reusable reporting assets. * Build advanced DAX measures, calculations and business logic. * Improve dashboard performance, scalability and end-user experience. * Apply data security controls and reporting governance best practices. * Support testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation of reporting products. Data Modelling & Analytics * Design robust dimensional models to enable accurate and consistent reporting. * Build and maintain fact and dimension structures aligned to business needs. * Work closely with stakeholders to define KPIs, measures and reporting standards. * Ensure data accuracy, consistency and trust across analytical solutions. Databricks & Data Platform * Write and optimise SQL queries against large-scale cloud datasets. * Collaborate with engineering teams to create curated reporting-ready data products. * Support data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance activities. * Contribute to the development of scalable analytics solutions within a modern data platform environment.
