This individual designs, produces, validates, distributes, and updates both quantitative and qualitative reports, queries, and data visualizations to support data-informed decision making in all facets of SPS's processes, including the recruitment funnel (program prospects, inquiries, applicants, admission decisions, matriculants, and defers). The Assistant Director provides timely and interpretive reports for the Director of Admissions and Data Analytics, Director of Executive Education, SPS's Senior Leadership Team, and others to inform recruitment, communication, selection, and enrollment strategies and policies. The incumbent will be expected to make recommendations on how to improve SPS enrollments based on data analysis from multiple sources. The Assistant Director will work with the Associate Director of Master's Admissions Systems and others to identify data needs and develop tools in relevant systems (Technolutions Slate, Tableau, IBM Cognos Analytics) to address those needs., Applicants are asked to include a resume. What specific \"checks\" or habits do you use to ensure data remains consistent when moving between systems like Slate, Tableau, and Banner? 2. Analytical Framework & Decision Support How do you translate complex metrics into clear recommendations for senior leadership? Additionally, how do you approach designing visualizations so that non-technical stakeholders can make quick, informed decisions? 3. Data Analysis Tell us about a time an analysis you completed revealed an unexpected pattern or outcome. What was the situation, how did your analysis highlight this discrepancy, and how did you communicate the findings to your audience? What were the resulting recommendations or actions taken? All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of in-person work at our office in Providence, RI. The School of Professional Studies supports the Master's Ceremony and related events as part of Commencement weekend.
