## About the Role

* BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology ; technicians with strong handson controls experience will also be considered
 * Comfortable using a multimeter
 * Exposure to any major PLC platform (Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens) is a plus
 * Familiarity with Modbus or BACnet is a plus
 * Able to perform field work 8+ hours per day on an active construction site; standard 45hour workweeks, Monday through Friday
 * Coachable, motivated, and eager to learn-we will train the right candidate

## Description

Seeking controls and automation contractor responsible for commissioning electrical and mechanical systems on a large-scale, multiyear data center program in Montgomery, AL. We are hiring entry-level Commissioning Engineers to support a small field team with a defined advancement path into a Project Engineer role.

What you'll do

 * Commission and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical control systems, including HVAC equipment, chillers, fan arrays, and power distribution systems
 * Perform I/O troubleshooting on hardwired points and network communications, including Modbus registerlevel diagnostics
 * Interpret oneline diagrams, network architecture drawings, and control schematics
 * Assist with graphics integration on Ignition and AVEVA System Platform
 * Download, verify, and make basic PLC program edits under the direction of a lead engineer (Schneider Electric, function block diagram)
 * Document issues clearly, escalate appropriately, and work under a lead within a small field team
