## About the Role

The United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) in Redstone Arsenal, AL is searching for a well-qualified candidate to fill the Knowledge Management Specialist for the Special Staff Directorate. Come join our amazing team who helps to ensure there is never a day without space!, * A proactive, self-starting individual who can see what needs to be done and take ownership of tasks.

 * Comprehensive knowledge of knowledge management principles and experience developing and implementing policy.
 * Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for leading and facilitating cross-functional teams.
 * Experience or a strong aptitude for leveraging the Microsoft 365 stack, particularly SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
 * Familiarity with DoD and USSPACECOM organizational structures and missions.

Conditions of Employment:

 * Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
 * Position requires drug testing
 * Occasional travel away from regular duty location may be required.
 * May be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

## Description

* Provides critical support to the CKO in the development, implementation, and governance of Command KM policy, processes, and systems.
 * Works closely with KM representatives from all directorates to provide guidance, assistance, structure, and tutelage, ensuring a high level of customer service.
 * Operating within an agile framework, the specialist is expected to take the initiative to identify and address knowledge gaps and process improvements with minimal direct tasking.
 * Contributes to assessing the Command's "knowledge capital posture" and helps develop strategies for capturing and retaining institutional knowledge.
 * Actively assists in the planning, preparation, and execution of KM working groups, councils, and training events, serving as the alternate facilitator as needed.
