## About the Role

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise in embedded software and controls with proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering challenging technical programs., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

 * 6+ years of engineering experience developing embedded software or control systems.
 * Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
 * Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++.
 * Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or microcontroller-based systems.
 * Strong understanding of control systems and motion control applications.
 * Experience working with cross-functional engineering organizations.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience in several of the following areas is highly desirable:

 * MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
 * Model-Based Development
 * Embedded software architecture
 * Control algorithm development
 * System modeling and simulation
 * Vehicle or system integration
 * Electronic control systems
 * Networking protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, EtherCAT, DDS, or TSN
 * Automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, J1939, XCP, and CCP
 * Electric or hybrid vehicle systems
 * Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system integration
 * Data acquisition systems and troubleshooting

## Description

* Lead and mentor a team of embedded software and controls engineers.
 * Manage employee development, performance, coaching, and technical growth.
 * Support recruiting, hiring, resource planning, and team development.
 * Lead the technical execution of embedded controls and software development projects.
 * Define system architecture, embedded control strategies, and software functionality.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
 * Develop project estimates, schedules, and technical plans.
 * Support customer meetings, technical reviews, and proposal activities.
 * Develop, validate, and optimize control algorithms using modeling and simulation tools.
 * Perform system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and performance validation.
 * Assist with electronic hardware selection and integration.
 * Ensure software complies with applicable engineering and quality standards.
