## About the Role

* Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with 5 years of relevant professional experience. 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
 * Expert Knowledge of software licensing terms and conditions and the application of those terms to the demand and usage within a physical and virtual environment.
 * Experience with Altiris, SmartTrack, HP Asset Management, SAM Pro, or other IT Asset Management systems
 * Understanding of licensing impact on IT Data Center, Server and Cloud Infrastructure, and On-Prem Vmware Virtualization environments.
 * Expert knowledge of product use rights for publishers such as Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, IBM, etc.
 * Advanced Excel, and analytical reporting skills.
 * Organized, responsive, and thorough problem solver.
 * Ability to function in a dynamic work environment and able to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision., o IAITAM or CSAM certification a plus., Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required. School must be accredited.

## Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst 3 for a contract\hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA., * Establishes and implements hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with IT standards and strategy.

 * Investigates available hardware and software products; evaluates and recommends products based on user requirements.
 * Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate equipment at the lowest cost.
 * Reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.
