Through rigorous educational programs and a mentoring-focused community, the Seminary challenges students to grow spiritually, intellectually, and professionally, equipping them to lead God's people in accomplishing His mission in the world., The Social Media Specialist leads the daily planning, creation, publishing, engagement, and performance measurement of Denver Seminary's social media presence. Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Success and collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing and the Communications Specialist, this role translates the Seminary's mission, Charter, and institutional priorities into platform-appropriate content that builds awareness, strengthens community, and supports enrollment pathways., * Owns and maintains the social media content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other approved platforms. * Evaluates emerging platforms and recommends adoption when they align with the Seminary's audiences and strategic priorities. * Writes, produces, schedules, and publishes timely content aligned with the Seminary Charter, brand standards, academic calendar, enrollment deadlines, and institutional milestones. * Adapts stories into platform-native formats rather than publishing identical content across channels. * Collaborates with the Media Team on planned photo and video content and on the production of short-form video, reels, and graphics for social channels. * Captures and posts real-time content at events, in classrooms, and in ministry settings. * Uses Canva or comparable tools for social-native formatting and graphics. * Identifies and develops student, alumni, faculty, and church stories that demonstrate formation and ministry impact. * Maintains an organized and accessible asset library of photography, video, graphics, and reusable templates. * Monitors and responds to comments, direct messages, mentions, and reviews in accordance with established response standards. * Routes admissions inquiries, student concerns, and reputational issues promptly to the appropriate department. * Represents Denver Seminary with grace and sound judgment in public conversations and escalates sensitive matters appropriately. * Develops social content supporting enrollment-funnel audiences in coordination with Admissions and the Director of Marketing. * Supports paid social campaigns through audience definition, creative development, budget stewardship, and performance review. * Ensures social media calls to action connect clearly to inquiry forms, events, and application pathways. * Tracks reach, engagement, follower growth, click-through rates, conversions, and other approved measures by platform and campaign. * Provides monthly performance summaries with clear findings and recommendations and tests content formats, posting times, and messaging to improve results. Secondary Functions * Monitors competitor and peer-institution activity across theological and higher education. * Cultivates relationships with students, alumni, churches, and other appropriate partners who can extend the Seminary's reach. * Supports live coverage and content production for institutional events, including occasional evening and weekend assignments. * Collaborates with departments to gather stories, verify information, secure approvals, and coordinate publishing schedules. * Completes other related duties and special projects as assigned., Denver Seminary prepares men and women to engage the needs of the world with the redemptive power of the Gospel and the life-changing truth of Scripture. The position of Social Media Specialist supports this mission through the following outcomes, * Maintains a consistent and reliable publishing cadence across priority platforms without significant content gaps. * Increases meaningful audience engagement and qualified traffic from social channels to enrollment and institutional pathways. * Produces accurate, platform-appropriate content that consistently reflects Denver Seminary's mission, Charter, and visual standards. * Responds to community interactions within established standards and escalates sensitive matters promptly and appropriately. * Maintains organized content calendars and asset libraries and provides actionable performance reporting that improves future content. * Demonstrates continuous personal, professional, and spiritual growth that contributes positively to the Seminary community. Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions Normal office environment with regular computer use, including extended periods of sitting and occasional standing, walking, stair climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and transport standard photo, video, or event equipment. Regular movement around campus and occasional evening or weekend availability are required for events and live content coverage.
