* Bachelor's degree in STEM + 10+ years professional experience
 * 5+ years in modeling & simulation within heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
 * Experience supporting HPC user workflows (modeling/simulation & GUIs)
 * Strong knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
 * Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++
 * Scripting expertise in BASH and Korn (ksh)
 * Strong Linux OS skills (RHEL/SE Linux preferred)
 * Experience debugging, maintaining, and optimizing large code bases
 * Familiarity with coding standards, unit testing & configuration management
 * Experience delivering HPC training workshops/tutorials
 * Ability to work independently in secure lab environments

## Description

* Support HPC users to improve "time to science"
 * Port, optimize & parallelize scientific codes
 * Conduct benchmarking & system performance tuning
 * Provide mentoring & technical leadership to junior engineers
 * Develop training materials & user documentation
 * Support secure production HPC environments & scheduling systems
