Responsibilities * Interacting with the project manager and client representatives to clarify business rules as outlined in the business requirements document. * Participates in the development, testing and maintenance of software applications under the guidance of senior engineers to implement robust high volume production applications using, Java, C++, Perl, SQL, UNIX, and various ETL tools. * Assists in the creation of technical specifications, design documentation, and process flows. * Adhering to production standards in all work products and participating in the refinement of those standards to improve quality and productivity * Documenting all work and facilitating transfer of ongoing operational responsibility to the production staff. * Follows established coding standards, development processes, and best practices while contributing reusable code components where appropriate. * Participates in release retrospectives and continuous improvement activities. * Participates in technical design discussions and code reviews and incorporates feedback. * Collaborates with senior engineers, business analysts, and project team members to understand requirements. * Writes clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
