The Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support building new consoles to replace legacy equipment, enabling out program to stay successful and support the Fleet. You'll help create modern and updated Test Consoles, supporting the Software Design, Development and choosing appropriate applications for effectively testing. This is a senior role, so we're looking for strong engineering practice, sound technical judgement and experience taking ownership of complex work. We don't expect you to arrive knowing every technology we use; we welcome people with a passion for learning and continuous improvement. The role You'll work alongside colleagues and our customers to understand complex needs and requirements, turning them into well-engineered technical solutions. We need someone that can help lead our efforst in: * Designing, building, testing, debugging and documenting software across its lifecycle. * Investigating problems and improving the reliability and maintainability of our systems. * Contributing your experience to technical decisions, reviews and collaborative problem-solving. * Mentoring junior or new staff on project., Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
