Word, Excel and Outlook) * Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service * Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Physical Requirements: * Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone ## Description Provide occupational safety, hazardous testing support as part of the Center Safety and Fire Operations (CSFO) contract at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) through the performance of hazard recognition, evaluation and control activities and tasks including: * Successfully complete internal test safety officer certification training. * Represent the JSC Safety & Test Operations in Test Readiness Reviews for hardware and human testing. * Prepare and present safety recommendations to the JSC Safety & Test Operations Division. * Review test documentation and monitor select test operations in support of JSC programs. * Mishap and close call investigations and support. * Development and review of facility and job hazard analysis. * Development of JSC safety and health communications and educational materials. * Assure JSC test facilities, test beds and operations meet internal and external applicable standards and codes. * Support of both JSC and company's Voluntary Protection Program (VVP) activities and initiatives. * Other related duties as assigned by supervisor. * Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. ## Related Videos -
