Abilities * Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and contractors. * Supervise vendors performing maintenance or upgrades. * Learn quickly and adapt to issues that arise during or after business hours. * Work within a strict, process-driven environment. * Analyze complex problems logically and efficiently. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Operate hand tools and electrical tools such as multimeters and infrared cameras. Education & Additional Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical roles within critical environments (data centers, hospitals, or power plants preferred). * Ability to pass a thorough background check including criminal, employment, education, DMV, and credit review. Physical Requirements * Stand, walk, or sit for 1/3-2/3 of the time. * Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. * Ability to use hands for typing and handling equipment. * Ability to see close, distance, and color ranges. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with shifting priorities. * Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call as needed. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for 1/3 of the time. ## Description Facility Engineer IIIThe Data Center Technician III is a mid-level role responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of all electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and communications systems within the data center.3 shift options available:Day ShiftSwing ShiftNight Shift: Night Shift Key System Responsibilities * Mechanical Systems: Chilled water systems, HVAC units (roof-top units, CRAC/CRAH), and humidification systems. * Electrical Systems: Power distribution from utility/generator switchgear through UPS systems to the customer load. * Fire Life Safety: Wet and pre-action sprinkler systems and associated detection equipment. * Communications Infrastructure: IFD/MDF/MMR environments, structured cabling, supporting infrastructure, and customer space management. * The technician will work closely with the Data Center Manager to ensure all systems operate at peak efficiency, issues are resolved quickly, and customer uptime is maximized.
