## About the Role

* Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification, alternatively relevant professional experience in software development
 * At least 4 years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in PHP and web application development
 * Experience with Symfony or another modern PHP framework and a solid understanding of framework concepts
 * Comfortable working with and improving existing and legacy applications
 * Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, relational databases, and Git; experience with Zend Framework, Laravel, React, or jQuery is a plus
 * Structured problem-solving approach, focus on maintainable and reliable code, and very good English skills; German is an advantage

## Description

You will work on one of our core business platforms, where reliability and the ability to diagnose production issues are as important as delivering new functionality.

 * Application Development & Maintenance: You maintain, develop, and continuously improve business-critical web applications. This includes existing legacy applications and newer components. You will work on new features, technical improvements, modernization, and the reliable operation of our systems.
 * Backend & Frontend Development: You primarily develop backend solutions in PHP and Symfony and implement smaller frontend changes where required.
 * Legacy Application Development: You work confidently with established and legacy codebases. You analyze existing implementations, understand their business logic and dependencies, and improve them step by step while keeping our production systems stable.
 * Incident & Problem Resolution: You analyze and resolve software errors and production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions rather than only addressing symptoms.
 * Monitoring & Observability: You contribute to improving application monitoring and operational transparency, including error logging, error aggregation, and metrics.
 * Solution Design: You independently contribute to the design and implementation of software solutions based on business and technical requirements and support the onboarding of new components and applications.
