Using AI tools effectively in your daily work is good evidence of both * Genuinely interested in data and the people who depend on it - models, quality, what happens downstream * Solid judgement on tradeoffs between configuration and custom code * Applies software engineering best practices to Apex/LWC development e.g. triggers, async apex, testing, access and data lifecycle management * English skills are on point (no Dutch required) Bonus Points! * Good command of Python/Java * Experience with master data, product data management or data engineering * Understanding of DX and unlocked packages * Experience with sharing and security setups of Salesforce * Salesforce Certifications ## Description As a developer working with Salesforce and Python, you'll join the Master Data team. We own the product data everything else runs on - from integrating supplier catalogues, through enrichment and validation, to what a customer sees in the app and what the warehouse needs to plan how a product fits in a tote. Hundreds of colleagues work with the platform every day, handling large volumes of master data across multiple countries, and your job is to make that easier - a validation that catches a bad value before it reaches a customer, a screen that stops taking eight clicks to do one thing. You'll solve data issues and steadily improve the platform. Over time the role grows towards software engineering, deeper into Python and data platform architecture., * Ownership: Take ownership of a part of the platform, know it well, and grow into the person others come to for it. You'll propose improvements rather than waiting for them to be assigned, and you try things and iterate quickly * Maintain and extend: Design, test, evolve, and refine the core aspects of our master data platform with a creative and analytical approach. Keep it healthy by improving existing flows and integrations while reducing complexity * Data modeling and quality: Shape how product information is modeled, and build the validation, enrichment and monitoring that keeps it accurate * Work with your users: Build relationships with the operational teams who work daily with the platform, understand their pain points, and turn those into improvements * Code Review: Review designs and code of teammates * Support: Support existing products and work with other developers to resolve incidents, including occasional on-call shifts Technologies we use * Salesforce: Apex, LWCs, RESTful integrations, Salesforce Connect * Deployments: Salesforce DX & Unlocked Packages * IDEs: VSCode, Intellij; scratch orgs * Python: FastAPI, Pydantic * Data: SQL, Snowflake, dbt * Version Control: Git, Github * CI/CD: TeamCity ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Intro to FastAPI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/462-intro-to-fastapi) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [Building and Deploying Multi-Agent Systems with ADK and Vertex AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1918-building-and-deploying-multi-agent-systems-with-adk-and-vertex-ai) - [Bringing AI Model Testing and Prompt Management to Your Codebase with GitHub Models](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1536-bringing-ai-model-testing-and-prompt-management-to-your-codebase-with-github-models) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Software Developer Salary in The Netherlands [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/217-software-developer-salary-in-the-netherlands-2023) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market) - [The Netherlands – Europe’s powerhouse for software development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/31-the-netherlands-europe-s-powerhouse-for-software-development)
