## About the Role

* Good experience within IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or a similar role
 * Strong Windows and PC/laptop hardware knowledge
 * Good troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software
 * A practical, hands-on approach
 * The confidence to take ownership and make decisions
 * Good communication skills
 * The ability to organise work and support others within a small team
 * A reliable, organised approach with good attention to detail

Previous Team Leader experience would be useful but isn't essential. This could equally suit an experienced IT Support professional who has naturally started taking more responsibility and is ready to move into a lead position.

## Description

Pimlico Banks is recruiting an IT Support Team Lead to join an established organisation in Birmingham on an initial six-month contract.

This is a hands-on role within a small team responsible for supporting, preparing, repairing and managing IT equipment across the business.

We're looking for someone with good all-round IT support experience who is also comfortable taking the lead within a small team. You don't necessarily need to be an existing Team Leader - we're equally interested in a strong Senior IT Support or 2nd Line person who is ready to take that next step.
The role

 * Hands-on IT support across laptops, desktops and other IT equipment
 * Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
 * Windows installation, configuration and troubleshooting
 * Preparing and configuring new and replacement equipment
 * Triage and basic repair of faulty equipment
 * Managing IT equipment through its lifecycle
 * Maintaining stock and asset records
 * Booking equipment in and out
 * Supporting equipment replacement, reuse and disposal
 * Helping organise and prioritise work across the team
 * Supporting more junior members of the team
 * Making sure work is completed within agreed timescales
 * Looking for ways to improve processes and how the team operates
