## About the Role

You will be an experienced technical leader with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across both technical and business environments.

You should be able to:

 * Remain pragmatic and outcome-focused when evaluating technology and vendor options.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join a UK-based IT architecture team. You will provide technical leadership and architectural direction across a broad IT environment, with a particular focus on infrastructure, cloud and security.

You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable and secure technology solutions., * Develop and promote IT and architecture strategies across the organisation.

 * Provide technical architecture expertise, guidance and support, particularly across infrastructure and security.
 * Define technical solutions and architectural approaches for new projects and business capabilities.
 * Produce clear technical architecture designs, documentation and analysis.
 * Assess solution options and their financial implications.
 * Work with business and technology teams to design solutions aligned to strategic objectives.
 * Coordinate the implementation and evolution of technical architectures.
 * Support the evaluation and selection of technology products and standards.
 * Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance and best practices.
 * Review the existing IT environment, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
 * Support the resolution of complex operational and technical issues.

Technical Experience

We are looking for experience across a broad range of enterprise technology, including:

 * Infrastructure architecture and detailed design
 * Data centre architecture
 * Microsoft 365 / Office 365
 * Identity and access management (IAM)
 * Authentication and authorisation
 * Cyber security
 * Cloud architecture
 * Resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery
 * IT architecture methodologies and governance
 * Application development methodologies
 * IT operations, service management and support
