## About the Role

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

 - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
 - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
 - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
 - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

 - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
 - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

## Description

Redefine how ads become a personalized, inspiring part of the customer journey - applying Generative AI and Large Language Models to transform advertising experiences across Amazon's shopping surfaces at massive scale. You'll build hyper-scale online systems, offline data pipelines, and machine learning infrastructure that power ad experiences beyond Search for hundreds of millions of shoppers., Apply Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver more relevant, personalized ad and shopping experiences across Amazon surfaces

 - Design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems for Sponsored Products and Brands advertising
 - Build and optimize data pipelines and services that improve ad retrieval, allocation, whole-page relevance, and differentiated recommendations
 - Design globally scalable solutions that evolve in the right long-term direction while delivering iterative value to customers
 - Collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, and engineers to define and deliver customer-focused solutions end to end
 - Write high-quality, maintainable code and participate in design and code reviews
 - Drive operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement

A day in the life
You'll help build hyper-scale online systems, offline data pipelines, and machine learning infrastructure - leveraging GenAI and LLMs to transform how ads are retrieved, allocated, and experienced.
