This role will require working with key stakeholders to deliver the vision and integrated capabilities through self-service investor-facing platforms and experiences. The successful candidate will focus on fostering engineering excellence and leading high-performing teams within an innovative culture. You will work with a dynamic, high-caliber, cross-functional team including Engineering, Product, and Design to create world-class products and empower teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Lead the engineering team to successfully deliver technology solutions including standards, pre-production environments, and development tools. Drive and support AI Enablement and Engineering Transformation. Lead the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices (e.g., code generation, automated testing, developer copilots) to improve productivity and code quality. In addition, this position partners with other agile team leaders to share learnings, mitigate technical dependencies, plan for capacity needs, and establish practice consistency across agile teams. Activities will also include daily oversight of development quality and partnering with solution architecture teams to establish patterns that progress teams toward scalable platforms. Recruit, coach, and manage software engineering talent across product teams. Agile Delivery Leadership: The Software Development Manager is responsible for leading Agile delivery across product teams, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives. They facilitate Agile practices, drive sprint and release planning, manage team capacity and dependencies, remove delivery impediments, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered on time, aligned to business priorities, and meet quality standards. Technical Expertise: The Software Development Manager is expected to have a deep understanding of the technology stack used at LPL Financial and be able to provide technical guidance to team members.
