## Description

Join a cross-functional team developing, specifying, and testing mission-critical Department of Defense cybersecurity devices. You will design security architectures and protocols, develop cryptographic key-management strategies, and perform hands-on testing in the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB) for secure voice, data, and conferencing solutions.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system security documentation, and providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support. The role involves developing and evaluating systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications. The Systems Engineer supports the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems.

What You'll Do

 * Develop security architectures, cryptographic specifications, and secure communication protocols.
 * Define and support cryptographic key-management strategies.
 * Create test plans and execute black-box testing for cybersecurity devices.
 * Lead integration, interoperability, verification, and validation activities in the ITB.
 * Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver secure mission solutions.
 * Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve engineering processes and technical outcomes.
