## About the Role

* 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
 * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
 * Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
 * 6+ years of design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
 * Design and detailing of structural lateral and gravity systems, * Professional Engineering or Architectural License
 * Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
 * Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
 * Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

## Description

* Create, review and release data center Structural Engineering improvements and designs for the next gen data center design.
 * Provide relevant feedback into Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for structural engineering systems.
 * Serve as a technical advisor for AWS DC design projects including; review of foundation and structural systems, evaluating superstructure design options, performing seismic studies and assessing structural calculation assumptions.
 * Create, review and release architectural/civil/structural design RFPs.
 * Manage our external architectural/civil/structural design consultants.
 * Coordinate with internal and external MEP/C/A design engineers.
 * Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency.
 * Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
 * Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, interface with AHJs and design consultants. Anticipated travel not to exceed 25%.
 * Collaborate and coordinate with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
