You will build software that helps architects design and configure homes, helps real estate teams identify developable opportunities, and helps manufacturing teams turn designs into physical products. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who likes working close to the business, understands that excellent software is both technically rigorous and deeply practical, and wants to help build the operating system for a new kind of housing company. What You'll Be Working On * Build fullstack product workflows for Alamo, our internal MES/ERP system. * Build software that helps architects design, configure, and refine homes from concept through production. * Build tools that help the real estate team evaluate land, identify developable opportunities, and understand project feasibility. * Design and implement production-grade frontend experiences using Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui. * Build backend services and APIs using NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, and shared Zod contracts. * Model complex operational domains including parts, inventory, production, purchasing, quality, work orders, real estate, design systems, and factory workflows. * Partner directly with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, design, real estate, and operations teams to turn messy real-world processes into clear, reliable software. * Own features from discovery through implementation, rollout, iteration, and long-term maintenance. * Help establish engineering patterns for a system that will scale from early internal tooling into mission-critical infrastructure. * Improve system reliability, observability, performance, security, and developer experience. ## Related Videos - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [GraphQL + Apollo + Next.js: A Lovely Trio](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/311-graphql-apollo-next-js-a-lovely-trio) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) - [Next, Nest, Nuxt… Nust?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/421-next-nest-nuxt-nust) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) ## Related Articles - [React Developer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/198-react-developer-salary-2023) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [The Best Software Developer Blogs to Read](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/156-the-best-software-developer-blogs-to-read)
