Along the way, you'll learn a lot, have fun and make a positive impact on hundreds of millions of people., * 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience * 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience * 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience * 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience * 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience * Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field * Experience programming with at least one software programming language, * 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent ## Description * Develop highly reliable flight software, ranging from low level control to autonomous system behaviors for RTOS and/or bare-metal environments * Develop supporting test, validation, and simulation software infrastructure * Participate in the full life-cycle of software development, from requirements definition and design all the way to deployment and maintenance in orbit * Work closely with software, hardware and systems engineers to support design, build, integration, test, and deployment of high speed optical communication systems A day in the life As a Software Engineer, you will be a member of the Optical Inter-Satellite Link team, focusing on the design, implementation, and verification of software systems to control and monitor high-speed optical communications.
