U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use., * Recognized subjectmatter expertise in a specific technical area such as information technology or a specific software application * Ability to serve as the organization's definitive source of technical knowledge, technique, and expertise within the assigned specialty * Demonstrated capability to apply broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering principles * Ability to review, prepare, and analyze a wide range of technical documentation, including planning documents, requirements, design artifacts, support materials, and test documentation * Experience working with source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution activities Skill in applying software engineering methodologies in support of organizational vision and strategic direction * DoD Directive (DoDD) 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification Information Assurance Manager Level II certification * Ability to support cybersecurity specialists by ensuring hardware, operating systems, and software applications meet required security standards for the Computing Environment (CE) * Experience sustaining information security assurance processes to meet complex, systemwide cybersecurity requirements ## Description As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the primary expert in a specialized technical area, such as information technology or a specific software application, and act as the recognized authority for that expertise within AFLNWCNCC. They will support the organization's vision and strategic direction by applying extensive theoretical and practical software engineering knowledge.
