This role leads a local IT team, sets priorities for site level IT work, and serves as the primary point of contact for infrastructure, server, network, and endpoint issues at Major Tool. The IT Manager partners closely with the Director of IT for the Large Format division on standardization, security, and integration initiatives. Reports To: Director of IT Personnel: Site IT Team Accountabilities: Provide direction on new technology and process assessment; ensure resources are best utilized to achieve short- and long-term goals. Analyze and evaluate problems and recommend solutions; provide periodic reports to executive management. Ensure a qualified staff exist through appropriate hiring, training, cross-training, and development, with monthly one-on-one meetings for performance review and improvement actions. Authorities: Oversee the ongoing continual improvement of the finance and information technology functions utilizing best practices of 6S, Lean Six Sigma methods. Final authority regarding processes within area of direct responsibilities, in accordance with company policy and procedure and the strategic business plan. Managerial authority regarding personnel issues in accordance with company policy and legal requirements, including hiring and termination. Approval of overtime schedules for personnel assigned to area. Determine access authorizations to software/databases and restricted facility areas within area of responsibility.
