A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered. * 5 years of progressive experience in data analysis, reporting, and/or analytics. * Experience: + Analyzing data to generate insights and support decision making. + Designing and developing dashboards and data visualizations. + Working with complex datasets across multiple domains. + Supporting or collaborating on advanced analytics or data science initiatives. + Translating business needs into analytical solutions and outputs. * Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other collaboration tools. * Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Python/R, SQL, etc.). * Ability to design clear, effective dashboards and communicate insights through data storytelling. * Ability to work across data domains and quickly develop context in new subject areas. * Experience supporting prototyping, iterative development, or data product development processes. * Ability to define and document business requirements and analytical approaches. * Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for various audiences. * Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Demonstrates the Clearinghouse's core competencies: customer focus, optimizes work processes, communicates effectively, collaborates, and is open and authentic. * Must live within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA or in one of the Clearinghouse's approved States for hiring purposes. This role is responsible for leading data analysis and visualization efforts, developing dashboards and insights that support internal decision making, product innovation, and customer-facing solutions. The incumbent brings a strong understanding of Clearinghouse data assets and diverse data domains, applying analytical and visualization techniques to translate data into actionable insights. This role partners with teams across the Clearinghouse to identify opportunities, develop prototypes, and mature data-driven capabilities. This position contributes to the full lifecycle of data initiatives, from exploratory analysis and dashboard development to supporting data science efforts and advancing prototypes through their lifecycles. The incumbent uses creative and innovative approaches to analysis, design, documentation, and tool selection. Currently, this is a remote-first position, and this position may be required to periodically work on-site at our office and the frequency would depend on the department/division's requirements. Therefore, candidates must either reside within a reasonable distance to commute to our office or be willing to travel to our office in Herndon, when required. How You Contribute: * Demonstrate the Clearinghouse's core competencies: Customer Focus, Optimizes Work Processes, Collaborates, Communicates Effectively, and Be Open and Authentic. * Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Clearinghouse, its environment, including its mission, services, and key stakeholders and how each organizational unit contributes to that mission. * Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Clearinghouse data assets, data structures, and business context across multiple domains. * Serve as a lead for data visualization and dashboard development, creating intuitive and impactful visual products for internal and external stakeholders. * Conduct exploratory and diagnostic data analysis to identify insights, trends, and opportunities for new or enhanced data capabilities. * Partner with Product, Research, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical approaches, dashboards, and data products. * Support data science and advanced analytics initiatives by preparing data, performing analysis, and contributing to model interpretation and communication. * Contribute to the prototype developing process, iterating on analytical solutions, and helping transition successful concepts into scalable capabilities. * Investigate and integrate Clearinghouse, public, and emerging data sources to expand analytical use cases and insights. * Present findings and visualizations to stakeholders to inform decisions, drive innovation, and support product and organizational objectives. * Define and promote best practices in data analysis and visualization, including standards for dashboard design, data storytelling, and stakeholder engagement. * Prioritize the protection of sensitive data by ensuring compliance with security and data governance policies and upholding privacy standards. * Connect analytical work to organizational priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable outcomes. * Develop and foster a partnership relationship with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels of the organization. * Deal effectively with conflict, reaching agreement without damaging relationships and finding win-win solutions. * Seek opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement in analytics and visualization processes. * Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and openness to new tools, methods, and perspectives. * Demonstrate creativity, ideation, and innovative thinking and leverages relationships to cultivate at innovative mindset in others. * Demonstrate and instill our cultural values and transparent communication philosophies. * Demonstrate openness to new perspectives and ideas. * Build trust with internal and external stakeholders by demonstrating consistency between words and actions.
