\u2022 Knowledge of data and voice network design carried over various transmissions systems, router to router connections using military and commercial protocols such as BGP and ISIS, switch-to-switch trunking to include VLANS, and circuit configurations through multiplexers.\n
\u2022 Experience with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc.) and network appliances (e.g., routers, load balancers, domain name servers, firewalls).\n
\u2022 Ability to work in a team environment, but self-driven to complete assignments while continually developing proficiencies in processes.\n
\u2022 Strong written and verbal communications, team building and collaboration skills.\n
\u2022 An active Secret security clearance is required.\n
\u2022 DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).\n

## Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for an \nImplementations/Activations Network Engineer at\n Hill AFB, UT. The Implementations Network Engineer will perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the Department of Defense networks.\n
\n
This position requires \nU.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.\n
\n
\nResponsible for performing the following duties:\n
\u2022 Perform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), execution of all reporting functions, and complete data input associated with new service activations to ensure they are implemented in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards\n
\u2022 Work directly with customers, solution architects and vendor SMEs to implement changes and also identify, analyze, and resolve issues.\n
\u2022 Manage Service Orders, in accordance with Change Management procedures\n
\u2022 Ensure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate for scheduled network additions and changes\n
\u2022 Initiate network device configurations using configlets\n
\u2022 Analyze DISN and databases to validate and implement customer requirements\n
\u2022 Design and implement solutions to highly technical problems through testing, documentation and modification of configurations on network devices\n
\u2022 Coordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish the engineered solution for end-to-end connectivity\n
\u2022 Perform network monitoring to assess if deployed changes have caused impacts to customer traffic using provided expectations of traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reporting\n
\u2022 Utilize systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements in support of customer resources.\n
\u2022 Engage with the DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.\n
\u2022 Reach out to stakeholders and facilitate approvals as necessary to ensure continual forward progress of the service request.\n
