Special Knowledge/Skills * Thorough technical knowledge of the public switched telephone network, wireless network and the associated elements including voicemail, AIN, SS7 platforms, switch translations and trunking. * Proficient critical thinking skills. * Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously and tracking/managing issues to resolution. * Strong interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written). * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to lead and mentor less experienced personnel in completing technically oriented tasks. * Computer skills/familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, database software and communications transmission protocols. * Availability for 24x7 on-call duty. ## Description This temporary position is responsible for ensuring the quality of network-based products by maintaining effective and efficient technical support, technical standards, and technical training. This position is closely tied to customer metrics by ensuring the quality of network-based products and provides second-level support to CBT, including PSTN and IP telephony networks. Additionally, it provides technical training to organizational processes to ensure efficient and effective operations. Efficient operations have a direct correlation with overall performance of the Network., * Provide technical expertise on 5ESS & DMS10 switch decommissions. * Provide technical expertise and assistance on all SLC ( TR303 & TR08) customer migrations. * Assist with expediting customer conversions by assisting field resources that have system and conversion issues associated with inconsistent system data. * Generate master list for TN migrations utilizing switch system reports with responsibility for data comparisons to COCRIS, CRM, CABS, TNA, TIRKS & COMPAS. * Responsible for managing TN data cleansing with switch TN disconnects & billing discrepancies via service order generation and/or access to TNA. * Responsible for managing & tracking all related service order activity on TN migrations for each switch decommission. Ensure all orders are completed, posted and errors corrected. * Apply within the Pooling Administrator System (PAS) to show the NPA-NXX's and thousand blocks being re-homed to the new switch or donated back if no longer going to be providing service in the rate center. * Issue the re-homing or disconnection of the NPA-NXX's and thousand blocks in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) matching the dates that were submitted in the PAS application. * Responsible for porting telephone numbers in the Service Order Administration (SOA) application if the decommissioning date is delayed.
