Conduct thorough user research to understand user needs and behaviors, develop and organize the structure and flow of information within the product, and determine optimal layout, media, and technology based on client requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI designers, developers, and product managers, to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions, contribute to the design group's efforts to enhance digital offerings, and independently manage multiple projects. Ensure that designs comply with usability and accessibility standards, create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, and maintain security and documentation standards, including quality and accuracy. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to identify user needs and behaviors. Translate findings into actionable design insights. Define navigation structures, content hierarchy, and workflows. Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools. Develop high-fidelity mockups and UI components aligned with brand guidelines. Ensure consistency across platforms through design systems and reusable components. Apply WCAG standards to ensure inclusive design. Validate designs for usability, accessibility, and security compliance. Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to deliver cohesive solutions. Mentor junior designers and contribute to team best practices. Maintain comprehensive design documentation for audits and future reference. Introduce new design methodologies and micro-interaction patterns to enhance user engagement.
