This role oversees global application development teams, ensures the stability and reliability of critical business systems, and manages all ongoing operational ("keep the lights on") activities that support business continuity, compliance, and user experience. The Director partners closely with technology leadership, value stream owners, and business stakeholders to ensure applications and platforms meet organizational needs while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and governance., Leadership & Management * Provide strategic leadership for global application development and operations teams. * Manage department budgeting, staffing, supplier relationships, and service-level performance. * Drive professional development, skill building, and cross-training within the organization. * Maintain an operational culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Support user groups and business stakeholders across functions and geographies. * Engage in industry collaboration to maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices. * Experience using the Scaled Agile development methodology Application Development Oversight * Lead design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise applications. * Ensure adherence to development governance, UX standards, and quality assurance protocols. * Oversee regression testing, transport processes, and Change Control Board (CCB) activities. * Manage interface maintenance, ensuring reliability and alignment with business workflows. SAP ECC on HANA Management * Oversee SAP ECC on HANA updates, patches, enhancements, and performance tuning. * Ensure high-quality execution of master data maintenance, job scheduling, and archiving. * Lead global deployment readiness and support SAP-related operational simulations.
