## About the Role

* Strong software engineering background in Java, Go, Python, or a similar language.
 * Meaningful ownership of build systems, CI/CD infrastructure, or developer productivity tooling. Bazel experience is strongly preferred.
 * Experience operating distributed build or test environments, with familiarity in Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure.
 * Strong debugging skills and a track record of improving engineering workflows.
 * Experience enabling AI developer tools is a plus, particularly when paired with evidence of adoption or productivity impact.

## Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer, Developer Productivity to shape the way our engineers build, test, and ship software. Our codebase is large and multi-language, powered by Bazel, with pipelines running on GitHub Actions and cloud remote execution.

In this role, you will design and optimize build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling, while also enabling engineers to effectively leverage AI-powered coding and productivity tools. Your work will reduce friction in everyday workflows, scale our infrastructure, and help the entire engineering team move faster with confidence.

You will

 * Own and evolve a multi-language build system, improving hermeticity, reproducibility, dependency management, and developer usability.
 * Design and operate CI/CD infrastructure that makes builds and tests faster, more reliable, and more cost-efficient at scale.
 * Diagnose and eliminate sources of CI friction, including flaky tests, slow feedback loops, and difficult local development workflows.
 * Build developer tools that improve onboarding, debugging, code review, and everyday engineering productivity.
 * Lead practical adoption of AI coding assistants and agentic workflows, measuring usage and impact rather than simply introducing new tools.
 * Partner with engineers across the company to identify bottlenecks, prioritize improvements, and demonstrate measurable results.
