## About the Role

* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
 * Minimum 2 years of relevant hardware test experience.
 * Hands-on experience using test equipment such as bench top power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers.
 * Experience with digital interfaces such as RS-232, USB 2.0, 1000BASE-T Ethernet.
 * Experience validating power supply sequencing, efficiency, and ripple for DC/DC converters, LDOs and PMICs.
 * Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
 * All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 * Test automation using Python or LabView.
 * Knowledge of guidelines for PCB layout.
 * Audio testing and characterization experience.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide a clear summary of test status and any issues to the broader team.
 * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and work on several projects concurrently.
 * Detail oriented and have a firm commitment to quality.
 * Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
 * Problem-solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.

## Description

Designs computer technology, instrumentation, communications devices, semiconductor devices, solid state devices and other electronic systems using an understanding of circuit theory and electrical or electronic engineering. Designs test systems for components and devices designed using electronic engineering techniques Collaborates with line engineers in other disciplines either on product design or manufacturing of electronic components.

Basic Requirements

 * Carry out hardware test execution and generate status and test reports.
 * Define verification matrix and internal specifications of performance.
 * Review test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements.
 * Review and recommend improvements to existing test strategies.
 * Recommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance.
 * Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.
 * Understand proper use and handling of sensitive circuits and equipment.
 * Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
 * Travel Requirement - Rare local travel, as required by Silvus (i.e. Irvine office).
