Additional competencies, knowledge and skills * Communication: Conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner. * Technology Savvy: Leveraging one's practical knowledge and understanding of recent technology tools, solutions, and trends. * Quality Oriented: Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how detailed; showing concern for all aspects of the job. * Comfortable in Rest API Interfaces and Open API specs. * Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Rest API's or Groovy. * Proficient with source control management techniques (Git, GitHub) including branching, code review, and merging. ## Description As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will: * Create and maintain high quality of test automation using modern development techniques and provides key data points to support metrics-based decision making. * Applies automated tests at every layer of the application stack, both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipeline. * Produces and analyzes metrics that illustrate the quality of applications and develop insight that drives the direction of quality engineering. * Works with team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline. * Works collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality, as a key design element in all work efforts. * Engages in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code. * Protects users from escaped defects, participate in support escalations, and value Customer Experience (CX) above all. * Understands the role of deployment, migration, security, and performance in the continuous delivery lifecycle. * Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability.
