Given a business goal, this individual defines the problem, selects the approach, and leads the work to completion - frequently across several engineers. The Senior Software Engineer sets technical standards on the team and develops the engineers around them. The ideal candidate is a full-stack developer with deep expertise in React, C#, and SQL Server who has carried production systems in a regulated environment and has established sound AI-assisted development practice., A system or subsystem, with decisions that reach adjacent teams. Given a goal rather than a specification, the Senior Software Engineer defines the problem and the approach and is accountable for the long-term maintainability of what they own. Hands-on technical work: approximately 75% of time, including writing code, code review, design review, and technical documentation. The remainder is design, technical planning, and mentorship. Supervisory responsibility: None.
