Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Management, Information Technology or equivalent field * 4+ years' work experience with data management, data analytics, data engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in data governance initiatives. * Knowledge of Data Governance, data management and data quality processes across the data lifecycle, from data capture through data retirement. * Experience working with Data Governance and Data Quality platforms. * Insurance industry experience preferred. * Data modeling experience is beneficial. Total Rewards ## Description The Data Steward ensures that data within their business domain is clearly defined, trusted, properly governed, and suitable for both business and regulatory needs. The Data Steward collaborates closely with business stakeholders, IT professionals, and the Data Governance Office to align data management practices with organizational objectives. The Data Steward is responsible for promoting a data-driven culture by ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of data assets within their business domain. All responsibilities must be performed in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements., * Implements data governance policies and standards within their business domain, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as necessary. * Defines data quality expectations and rules, performs data quality monitoring, root cause analysis, partners with IT to resolve issues and develop scorecards. * Builds, manages and curates a data catalog of the enterprise's data to enable stakeholders to discover data assets.
