Preferred Qualifications: * Experience improving security posture in a large-scale distributed SaaS environment. * Hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture (IAM, KMS, networking, load balancing, etc.). * Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) and how engineering teams build systems that meet those requirements. * Experience with threat modeling, design reviews, and platform-level security patterns. * Ability to make long-term architectural decisions (4-10 years) aligned with platform and business strategy. * Experience evaluating technologies, running POCs, or leading due diligence during acquisitions. * Experience presenting technical topics to engineering organizations or external audiences. This role is ideal for a senior engineer/architect who is passionate about shaping modern engineering practices, improving architectural foundations, and driving change across the SDLC. While the focus of this role is to improve security across Cvent's platform, we are specifically seeking an architect who thinks and operates like a product-minded developer, not a traditional security specialist.
