## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or network support
 * Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including:

 * Security policies
 * NAT
 * VPNs
 * Troubleshooting
 * Strong experience with Cisco Meraki, including:

 * Meraki Dashboard
 * SD-WAN
 * Switching
 * Wireless
 * Solid understanding of:

 * TCP/IP
 * DNS
 * DHCP
 * Routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
 * Network segmentation
 * Network security principles
 * Experience with WAN technologies, internet breakouts, and cloud connectivity
 * Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
 * Proven troubleshooting skills in complex, multi-site environments
 * Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Auvik, SolarWinds, Datadog, or similar
 * Comfortable working in an international environment
 * Ability to provide a criminal record extract not older than three months, where required for the role

Nice to Have

 * Experience with SASE platforms such as Palo Alto Prisma, Cato, or similar
 * Exposure to cloud networking in Azure or AWS
 * Basic knowledge of QoS, traffic shaping, and application performance
 * Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Meraki CMNA, or CMNP are considered a plus

## Description

We are seeking an experienced L2/L3 Network Engineer to support enterprise LAN and WAN operations for a global life sciences organization in Ghent.
The role focuses on day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across a multi-site international environment.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Meraki, and is comfortable operating across both operational support and engineering-level responsibilities., * Support enterprise LAN and WAN operations across a multi-site environment

 * Troubleshoot complex network issues across firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, and SD-WAN
 * Manage and support Palo Alto firewall configurations, including policies, NAT, VPNs, and troubleshooting
 * Operate and support Cisco Meraki environments, including dashboard management, SD-WAN, switching, and wireless
 * Contribute to network stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement
 * Work closely with international teams and stakeholders
 * Support monitoring, incident resolution, documentation, and operational best practices
