## About the Role

* Extensive experience designing and deploying Microsoft Hyper-V clusters in enterprise environments.
 * Strong expertise in Windows Server, Failover Clustering, Storage Replica, and High Availability solutions.
 * Proven experience migrating physical and virtual server estates from VMware and legacy platforms.
 * Deep understanding of Microsoft PKI, Certificate Services, certificate lifecycle management, and auto-enrolment.
 * Strong Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and infrastructure security knowledge.
 * Experience supporting penetration testing and vulnerability remediation programmes.
 * Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential Requirements

 * Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
 * Willingness to undertake additional NPPV3 Police Vetting if required.
 * Ability to work predominantly on-site within a secure policing environment.
 * Previous experience delivering infrastructure projects within highly regulated or secure environments is highly desirable.

## Description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and migration of a new enterprise virtualisation platform within a secure policing environment. The successful consultant will be responsible for delivering a resilient two-site Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure, migrating legacy physical and virtual server estates, implementing a Microsoft PKI solution, and supporting security remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities will include designing and implementing a highly available two-site Microsoft Hyper-V cluster, migrating approximately 40 servers (physical, VMware, and Hyper-V) to the new platform and configuring clustering, failover, replication, networking, storage, quorum, and resilience services.
