Equivalent professional experience may be considered. · Experience creating software tools, automation frameworks, or scripts that improve QA, Engineering, or test-execution workflows. · Practical source-control experience, including pull requests, branching, tagging, and troubleshooting commit or branch issues. · Strong debugging skills across software, automation, test environments, and CI/CD pipeline failures. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and validation of effective corrective actions. · Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. · Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver reliable solutions in a collaborative team environment. Nice to Have · Experience with automated functional, regression, or performance testing in QA or Engineering environments. · Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or similar source-control platforms. · Experience with JIRA or similar defect-tracking and project-management tools. · Working knowledge of Linux-based development or test environments. · Experience with Docker, virtualization, or containerized test environments. · Experience with GUI development libraries such as Tkinter, Qt, or similar frameworks. · Experience onboarding, mentoring, or supporting Co-op students, junior developers, or other technical team members. ## Description The Test Automation & Tools Developer builds and maintains automation tools, test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and internal solutions that improve software quality and make QA workflows more efficient. In this role, you will work closely with QA, Engineering, DevOps, and other internal teams to understand needs, automate testing and reporting activities, investigate failures, and support reliable software releases across multiple development and test environments. You will also help streamline repetitive work across the organization by creating practical tools that give teams clearer data, faster feedback, and more time to focus on higher-value technical work.
