## About the Role

* Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role
 * As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have the ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realize ideas
 * Understanding of safety legislation
 * As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have a high degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture
 * Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model and drawing creation
 * Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar)
 * As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have a professional qualification in an engineering related field

## Description

A Senior Design Engineer is required to work for a large Nuclear company based in Derby on either an inside IR35 contract basis or a permanent staff basis.

This role will be ideal for a candidate with experience in either the Nuclear sector or other highly regulated sectors such as Aerospace/ Defence

Flexibility will be provided with the software experience

Your Missions:

 * Design components to customer spec
 * Create models and drawings with CAD
 * As the Senior Design Engineer, you will research new ideas and methods
 * Improve products and processes
 * Modify designs for requirements
 * Ensure safety compliance
 * Find creative solutions
 * As the Senior Design Engineer, you will support junior team members
 * Present designs to customers
