Previous experience working in a school or educational setting would be useful, but it is not essential. You will need practical technical experience, good judgement and the ability to prioritise urgent technical issues that impact teaching and learning. You will also bring: * A positive, patient, and helpful approach when working with children and educators * Good organisation and time management during busy term times * The ability to work independently and as part of a team * A polite and professional manner * The technical aptitude to quickly learn and adapt to specialist educational software and hardware * A full, clean UK driving licence Relevant IT certifications or a computing qualification would be useful, but are not essential. ## Description A technical role where every day is different Do you enjoy solving complex technical puzzles, supporting teachers and pupils, and taking pride in keeping a busy educational environment running smoothly? We are looking for a reliable and experienced School IT Support Technician to join our ICT Team. This hands-on role will suit someone who enjoys variety, uses their initiative and is happy turning their skills to whatever tech challenge the day brings across our classrooms and offices. One day you might troubleshoot a classroom interactive whiteboard, set up new devices for a computer suite or resolve a network issue. The next could involve preparing laptops for students, managing user accounts or assisting staff with digital learning tools. You will help keep the school's digital infrastructure, hardware and software secure, accessible and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors. About the role You will carry out first- and second-line IT support across the school sites, including hardware repairs, software installation, network troubleshooting, user account management and classroom tech support. You will also support device rollouts, system maintenance, asset tracking and routine safeguarding compliance checks (such as web filtering and e-safety monitoring).
