Strong Architecture Background - Proven experience in enterprise or domain architecture roles within complex industrial or operational environments. IIoT & OT Expertise - Deep understanding of OT and IIoT systems including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, telemetry systems and data historians. Experience with edge-to-cloud architectures, edge computing and edge analytics. Technical & Regulatory Knowledge - Knowledge of industrial protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus and DNP3. Understanding of connectivity technologies including LoRaWAN, NB-IoT and 5G. Experience aligning architecture to NIS regulations, NCSC CAF, IEC 62443 and ISO 27001. Data & Integration Focus - Strong grasp of data platform architecture, integration patterns, standardisation and contextualisation. Sitting within our Enterprise Architecture and Transformation function, this role is all about defining the target-state architecture for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and ensuring operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) work seamlessly together. This is a strategic, influential position at the heart of our Securing Operations transformation programme. You'll work with senior leaders across the business to align technology investment, digital transformation and operational priorities, helping Cadent deliver against its net zero ambitions, regulatory obligations and long-term sustainability goals.
