The Systems Engineer is responsible for internal escalations for critical billing systems where level 1 support could not resolve the issue. They are responsible for troubleshooting, identifying and fixing issues independently. Reading through the code and fully understanding the interactions between multiple applications so that they can make the appropriate code changes to solve the issue without breaking existing functionality. They are responsible for representing their changes to the Change Review Board and answering questions as needed. They also serve as a technical leader on the team, mentoring junior engineers, leading onboarding sessions and writing and reviewing technical documentation for the team. They are expected to lead larger development projects with little to no assistance, making decisions about the best architecture and approach to developing the solution needed. This person represents the team on multi-team meetings, ensuring the needs of the team are met and anything impacting our applications are addressed and relayed back to the team and leadership., * Write efficient, organized, readable, and well documented code. * Design, develop, and maintain deployments using OVHcloud CDS (CI/CD tool) to non-production and production environments. * Participate in building, installing, and deploying OVHcloud infrastructure.
