## About the Role

The qualified candidate must have experience/skills in the following areas:

 * 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
 * Python/Web frameworks
 * SQL / MySQL
 * RDBMS and database design
 * AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS)
 * Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD
 * Unit/functional testing
 * Linux/UNIX
 * API design and implementation
 * Comfortable working with stakeholders outside the Engineering team, including Product, Sales, and Account Management teams
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
 * Self-starter, but very comfortable working closely with a team

Nice to have skills include:

 * Python/MySQL experience
 * SQL performance tuning
 * Microservice architecture
 * Kafka / Celery / Flask / Django / Supervisor / MongoDB
 * DevOps experience
 * Jira or other project management tools
 * Java
 * Postgres
