Profile / Requirements : Languages: Fluent in Dutch, French, and English. Experience in server-side and client-side software testing. Experience with Qt and Squish applications is a plus. Experience in automated testing. Knowledge of Python. Experience with Rust is a plus (experience with C or Java also acceptable). Knowledge of standards such as EN50128 or DO178 is an asset. ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus. ## Description For a project to modernize a critical software system used for traffic and safety management within the railway infrastructure, we are looking for a UI Tester / Test Manager. The system is undergoing iterative redevelopment, transitioning from legacy C code to modern components in Rust. You will contribute to both the existing and renewed parts of the system. Depending on the project phase, you will take on the role of tester and/or technical test manager, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Responsibilities Analyse, design, document, and validate the software programme's functionalities. Write technical documentation for software modules and/or the system. Support the development team by adding value at each stage of the software development cycle. Examples of tasks include: Writing test specifications based on functional analyses, software architecture, and module design. Executing manual test cases. Automating test cases using existing test frameworks and contributing to their development when necessary. Documenting test results and validating reports from colleagues. Analysing existing test solutions and proposing/implementing improvements.
