The ideal candidate has a deep technical grounding that allows them to quickly develop understanding of emerging technical areas (e.g. AI, IoT, XR/VR, etc), strong multi-level communication and organization skills, and the ability to synthesize technical details into coherent programs., * 12+ years of experience in technical program management, including 5+ years working closely with complex emerging-technology initiatives * Strong enough technical background to understand and translate what technical leaders are building, even without leading that work directly * Skilled at turning informal or in-progress technical work into clear, structured program plans * Experience helping teams align their work to broader organizational strategy and priorities * Experience working in regulated industries like industrial, IoT, life sciences, manufacturing, energy, or similar * Strong communication skills - able to build trust with technical leaders, translate technical work for non-technical audiences, and clearly report status and risks * Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Desired Skills and Competencies: * Familiarity with responsible deployment, risk management, and technology governance practices * Curious, detail-oriented mindset - comfortable digging into technical work you're not personally building * Comfortable working iteratively and adjusting plans as technical work evolves ## Description AVEVA's Chief Technologist Organization is hiring an experienced technical program manager to help us track and coordinate our work investigating and incubating emerging technologies. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Programs & Operations, you'll work closely with technical leaders across the organization to develop and define program plans for our technical initiatives, making sure they align to our broader strategy and priorities, have well-defined objectives that further our technical understanding in key areas, and include concrete milestones and deliverables.
